Every year students will have a meaningful encounter with employer to help them better understand the workplace and potential career paths open to them.
Many students only hear about careers their family do or they encounter in their childhood. By meeting with and hearing from different employees and employers, students can widen their knowledge of the different careers available to them.
In Year 10 students have the opportunity to visit a local workplace for half day with school, to experience the workplace environment. These visits are planned with local companies so students get to experience the whole company and the different jobs within a single company.
The County High School does not provide traditional Work Experience, but Year 10 students who wish to source their own placements can seek advice from the Careers Leader.
