Good morning!

I hope you are all well on the lovely rainy morning! I enjoyed the sunshine and hot weather as much as the next person, but there is something really refreshing with the change of weather; it feels like it is revitalising things after the the incredible heat wave. Almost allows things to reset a little, if you know what I mean?

I was fortunate enough to be able to go into School yesterday and I looked around the empty corridors and thought about how it won't be that long until you have the opportunity to return. I know for plenty of you, it will be definitely be a welcome opportunity. But don't forget, the staff are also excited to see you return. But, it's not to say that it doesn't come without its own worries - I know another readjustment is in required - reestablishing routines, structures and friendship groups.

I therefore want you take this opportunity to have a think about how you feel about returning. I want to make sure you have plenty of opportunity to get yourself adjusted to the thought of it. Take the time to let people around you know what you're looking forward to, but equally, tell them what you are worried about. Hopefully, by the end of next week, we can help reassure you before you return.

Now, onto our music choices:

Claire de Lune by Claude Debussy

Good Riddance by Green Day

Carousels by Bierut

Level of Concern by Twenty One Pilots

Note: 3/4 of these were suggested by Year 10 students - please keep them coming and let me know what you think!

As always, take care of yourself and those around you,

Mr Jeffrey
