Resource pack for young people

Good morning Year 10!

I was having a think myself about the things I currently miss during this period - being able to just wander up into town, driving down to see my parents in Anglesey, last-minute meeting up with friends. They're just a few things that came to the top of my head and I imagine that you all have your own lists. I think that I will definitely value this more when things return to something resembling normality.

What will be the first three things you would like to do when you first see friends or family members again? I know you may have been chatting to them, even by video call, but how much do we underestimate how important simple things are like hugging? This isn't supposed to make you feel sad, but to make you reflect on some of the simple things you hope not to take for granted. You'll be that person in 50 Years time who turns round and says, "In my day, weren't even allowed to go and meet up with friends" or "We had to be careful about how much loo roll we used at one point".

I've attached to my email something you may feel is useful - strategies to help you if you are feeling stressed or anxious. There are lots of great activities to try out. I'd particularly like to draw your attention to the Stress Bucket - and how do you try to make sure the stress bucket doesn't 'overflow'?

As always, take care of yourself and those around you.

Mr Jeffrey
