Good morning Year 10!

Don't worry, you'll have a two day break from my messages as its nearly the weekend!

Did anyone manage to get outside to see the clapping last night? I know its always heart-warming to see it. I think we need to reminder ourselves how fortunate we are to have a service like the NHS. I know many of you will have relatives or family friends that are continuing to work at this time (not just in the NHS) and have to leave the house to go to work. My partner works as an ICU nurse, so through her I see the most raw side of emotions associated with the current situation - but I also know that if you have family or friends that are having to work at this time, whatever their profession, there is an emotional strain that needs to be appreciated.

If you do know anyone who this applies to, make sure to show your appreciation - small simple acts of kindness go a long way - whether it is saying thank you or making someone a brew when the come in. There is a young family that live down the road from us and the young girls put together a little 'thank you' card that they made themselves. Whatever the act, it is always nice to feel appreciated.

And remember - be kind to yourselves as well - with the work you have been doing and the circumstances surrounding our current situation, you deserve to have a break, both mentally and physically.

Again, please keep sending your messages of what things have changed positively for you - I would love to get as many as possible together.

As always, take care of yourselves and those around you.

Mr Jeffrey
