Good morning Year 10!

There are times when we all feel the ups and downs of emotions and that's normal, you have to accept there are going to be some days when you don't feel your 100% and recognising this and giving yourself a little breathing space is more than OK.

And how many days have you felt overwhelmed? Expectations from people at home? Expectations from friends - getting in touch, feeling the need to reply instantly or pressure to play on the PS4/XBox? Then included with that, the expectation to get on with school work, with sometimes what feels like constant messages coming through?

After supporting another student, it became apparent that a lot of the emails you are getting through are through Google Classroom and sometimes this can be overwhelming. If you want to change this please click here for instructions.

It's like a lot things - we know when we need to be able to switch off - when to put our phone down and feel like we don't have to reply to friends is another example. Give yourself the mental break from things. The music of the week is a piece put forward by a student: Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen which has some good advice within it.
