Year 10 Tutor Time Resources

Friday 15th May 2020

Good morning Year 10,

We can often come down too harshly on ourselves, particularly more so during this time. During this week, I came across the following points that I thought were quite interesting:

1. You're not "working from home" - you are "at your home, during a crisis, trying to work".
2. Your physical, emotional and mental health are more important than anything right now
3. You should not try to compensate for lost productivity by working longer hours
4. You will be kind to yourself and not judge how you are coping based on how others are coping
5. You will be kind to others and not judge how they are coping based on how you are coping

Your success will not be measured the same way as when things were 'normal'

These are six straight-forward points that are definitely worth thinking about in your day-to-day living.

On other news, there will be a 'Virtual Career Fair' next week - I've attached the flyer for you to read. There is a lot going on with it an it is definitely worth a good thing about. If you do decide to sign up early, please do not use your mobile phone, just your school email address. More info to follow next week.

Today's banger of a tune- Golden Skans by The Klaxons - enjoy!

As always, take of yourself and those around you.

Mr Jeffrey
