School Performance
The school has been consistently proud for many years of students' excellent performance in both Key Stage 3 National Curriculum Tests and GCSE examinations ("Standards are above average", Ofsted December 2007). Indeed, 2009 saw a fourth consecutive year of excellent results:
- 72% of Year 11 students achieved 5 or more GCSEs at Grade C or above
- 20% of Year 11 achieved at least 5 A* or A grades
- 45% of Year 11 achieved at least one A* or A grade
- 60% of students achieved 5 or more GCSEs at Grade C or above (including GCSEs in English Language and Maths), the fourth consecutive increase as seen below
