Mock Results Day
Year 11 students today received the results of the GCSE English and Maths examinations which they sat in November. The school is delighted with the results and hence it was no surprise that so many Year 11 students were so thrilled when they opened their envelopes in the Hall at lunchtime. For many the grades represent deserved success for all the hard work put into their studies.
Once the excitement had died down, Miss Brandreth, the Headteacher, led a special Assembly where she encouraged the students to reflect not only on their English and Maths results, but also their progress in other subjects as described in the Progress Report attached to the results. Year 11 students are now encouraged to build upon the strong foundations they have laid and ensure that when they next collect GCSE results in the Summer the experience is as or even more rewarding as it was today.
