Year 9 - ICT

Pupils work through units which combine different pieces of software and hardware. Pupils are required to make informed judgments about which items of software and hardware to select. Pupils have the opportunity to work independently, in groups and using a range of resources to help them progress.

The work is organised into the following units:

. Planning, creating and evaluating a solution to an international problem

. Planning, creating and evaluating an animation with a specific audience and purpose

. Creating a spreadsheet and other solutions for a struggling Theatre company

. Creating a game using complex sequencing and instructions

All units are supported with online tutorials and written guidance, allowing pupils to work at their own pace and independently.
