Year 8 - ICT

Pupils work through a number of units building on skills learnt during Year 7, learning how to successfully use new software and make informed judgments about the most appropriate software to use. Pupils have the opportunity to work independently, in groups and using a range of resources to help them progress.

The work is organised into the following units:

• Planning, creating and evaluating an e-safety film

• Planning, creating and evaluating an e-time capsule website

• Planning, creating and evaluating an environmental calculator

All the units are supported using the “ICT 4 Life” software with online tutorials and guidance to allow pupils to progress at their own pace and work independently.
